The spike looks like it is from a spike harrow.

Interesting comparison. But I doubt if a harrow had been made with 1 1/8 wide x 13 1/8 long spikes. I’d imagine it would take a couple oxen or more to pull a harrow with those.
And yes I understand you are only noting the similarity, not suggesting that it is from a harrow.

I returned to Great Great Great Grandfather Pete’s farm site. And found two items that potentially belonged to him. (Anything newer than 1891 can not be his). What I believe to be a buckle from a horse harness and logging spike. Plus a more modern brass rhinestone decorative thing.

I find them often at homestead sites that are cropped fields now.
