✅ SOLVED Relic or old car part?

Found this on the bank of a local river near Philadelphia, Use to be a ferry in the vecinity, road nearby, found a Flying Eagle cent, horshoe, and some modern fishing weights nearby.

Any help on ID of these two objects would help!

I can not help on the first item, but the second is the head of a ball peen (also ballpeen, ball-peen, balpeen) hammer.


This one deserves a double espresso.
