Went back to my favourite spot at the moment where I am working in with the local historian. She recently made some comments in the local paper about one of the sites and another detectorist has since hit one of the sites of an old hostel. The only problem with this is he left it in a total mess, dug rubbish everywhere and not filling in his numerous holes. I spent about 30 minutes filling them in. Just another person who would bring our hobby into disrepute and get us banned from more areas - I'm now keeping my eye out for him

A nice 1946 Florin which is 50% silver and weighs 11.3 grams, a 1943 Sixpence which is 92.5% silver

1926 penny and 1950 Half penny

The 3rd toy gun I've found in the area, this one a 1950s Texan Junior

A spike most likely from a light rail they in the area when they were digging shafts

An old home made sinker - simple but nice statement of the people who lived there

Claravox Mouth-Organ Cover

Remains of a travel clock made in Germany pre-WWII. It is marked Blessing-Werke Germany. Post war clocks were marked West Germany.
