Went back to my favourite spot at the moment where I am working in with the local historian. She recently made some comments in the local paper about one of the sites and another detectorist has since hit one of the sites of an old hostel. The only problem with this is he left it in a total mess, dug rubbish everywhere and not filling in his numerous holes. I spent about 30 minutes filling them in. Just another person who would bring our hobby into disrepute and get us banned from more areas - I'm now keeping my eye out for him >:(
coins1.webp
A nice 1946 Florin which is 50% silver and weighs 11.3 grams, a 1943 Sixpence which is 92.5% silver
coins2.webp
1926 penny and 1950 Half penny
texan1.webp
The 3rd toy gun I've found in the area, this one a 1950s Texan Junior
spike1.webp
A spike most likely from a light rail they in the area when they were digging shafts
sinker1.webp
An old home made sinker - simple but nice statement of the people who lived there
claravox1.webp
Claravox Mouth-Organ Cover
clock1.webp
Remains of a travel clock made in Germany pre-WWII. It is marked Blessing-Werke Germany. Post war clocks were marked West Germany.

Love the old Texan. You made some nice finds. Congradulations

Silver is always good :)

I don't understand the thought processes of these idiots. If I were doing land I wasn't allowed on (never happened other than a couple of mistakes), I would sure as damn it not leave a trace that I had ever been there. Maybe we should leave a couple of holes in these people >:(

Way to go. There is always someone out there giving the rest of us a bad name. I hope you find him and set him straight.

Thanks for the comments - I'm sure he's not a bad person just needs some education. I love finding Florins as they are big silver and anything before 1945 was 92.5% silver.

Looks like you have gotten some really nice relics there! :) Congratulations!!!
