Relics! What is it? Better Pics

Does not ding up as low as iron.. only dings in P-Tab and S-cap.. It's hollow metal but what appears to be a cork inside with a different metal at the tip. Seams as though it was painted at some point. 21.5 cm/ 8.5 inches total length

Anyone know about old ferrier tools?
Looks like one would be able to change the tip..
