Resetting GTI After Coil Change

On another forum there was a discussion about resetting a GTI 2500 (so would apply to my GTI 1500) whenever the coil is changed. Per Melinda Harper at Garrett, if the detector seems noisy after the coil change, do a reset. If it seems to be working OK, there is no need to reset.
