That's the same year Lewis and Clark reached the Pacific Ocean. The majority of the United States was still uncharted. :thumbsup:
 

Bellamy Road has been around since the 1820s. Most of it is a dirt road. Started as a foot path and was widened. I found the coin not too far from a water source. Hard to get back in there. Will be hunting for more!
 

I didn't expect the wear on it like that....surely not from the ground or elements. It has a ding in it which makes it a little bent. It was only about an inch deep. Very dirty and dark. I think somebody dropped it in the early 1900s. Could have been someone's lucky coin. Who knows?.
