retired marine needs a little help

Just got a phone call from a gentleman named "Will" who purchased a White Spectra V3i at one of the local shops here in newport news. He was given my number by one of the attendants who knows I help folks find their rings in their yards. To make a long story short he pleaded with me to help him learn to detect, he is really excited about the hobby. since I wear my heart on my sleeve I said I would help. Unfortunately due to lack of old ground/farms/land and permission I would only be able to take him to a beach.

If anyone out there is willing to help out a retired marine please let me know.
