Told my missus, 'no cards this year'. I got up early made a cup of Tea & breakfast in bed with a single Red rose in a vase, cuddly toy with heart, chocolates spelling 'I Love You', Replica Roman Oil Lamp with a horse design to use whilst in the bath & no card. What did I get - nothing, she thought we agreed to nothing, I reminded her it was 'no card' ;D

Anyway onto more important things

The snow had melted but the first ploughed field was so sticky it was pulling my legs out of socket & it was hard enough lifting the spade. So we gave up after 1 hour (see first picture for finds).

Returned to a large grass field we were doing last year. Have already spent over 40 days on this field. Its not a good field & that is why we finished just before completeing it.

Spent about 3 hours with:
2 Scrappies
1816 Sixpence

Dad got a Victorian Horse Brass Swinger with a heart design (how appriorate, as my missus collects these & its a heart) :-*

It was a slow day for you but we still enjoy the things you find. Thanks for sharing the goodies with us.

I got lucky with that one, found it whilst cutting across a nearby field towards the Big Grass field. Dad got the Swinger in the same field on the way back. So always detect when ever walking from place to place or back to the car.

I had the same response from my hubby. Both agreed no cards this year. I gave him candy and I received a grimaced look and a half hearted thank you. ::)
He later said he'd cook dinner tonight so now I am a HAPPY CAMPER! ;D

Similar response, she offered to cook me a meal. (I'm the cook normally). This may have been my 10th meal cooked in 7 years  I'm always happy, no need for cards & things. Its a waste of money really, don't tell the missus :P

I had already watched on your post, thanks. Very calming music & plenty of snow. I wish I had snow yesterday as its easier to walk on than the soaked clay field we tried.
