This Cornell University pendant was found on an old homesite dating back to 1835 belonging recently to 3 generations of Cornell University Veterinarians, grandfather, father and son.
The pendant was base metal with evidence of silver playing. The father Vet said it must have belonged to the grandfather Vet, who If still alive would have been 100+ years old, but having no interest in it said I could keep it. Knowing that the son Vet, who gave me permission to hunt the property, would be interested I gave it to him. The son Vet was so pleased to have a remembrance of his grandfather that he had this pendant gold played and it is now worn around the neck of his wife.
