So I got out to a construction site for an evening hunt a few days ago in hopes that some dirt had been moved and more relics exposed. Unfortunately nothing had been done, but since I was already there I decided to go ahead and detect anyway. I had already been there a few days prior and dug a few flat buttons and before that the area had been detected by a few other people as well. I wasn’t able to pull much quantity and didn’t know what I had until I cleaned it when I got home. 4 flat buttons, a tombac shoe buckle piece, a broken fur trade ring, a leather attachment brass piece, a piece of a parasol wire and a Revolutionary War Continental Army pewter intertwined USA button. The USA button is in rough shape but cleaned up well considering.
