RevWar British or Hessian Belt Plate?

I found this belt plate near the Hudson River by Albany, NY. Can anyone tell me what it is. Thanks.

Whether it is a belt plate or some other type plate,I do not know. That is the Hessian Crown so it is Hessian instead of British.

Probably WW-1. The tab construction makes it 1900's.
