Rhode Island Hunt 11 Oct thru 17 Oct

I think this is will get moved, but I have seen other people post similar post here.. and well.. I'm not getting any responses over in General Discussion... so I apologize if this has to get moved.

I am going on a business trip to Providence RI the 11th thru the 17th or 18th and will have a couple machines with me. I am meeting an old Marine buddy up there for some hunting and was hoping to hook up with some locals for a hunt or two. I have Civil War spots in Northern Virginia I would gladly share or I could bring a nice little display of Civil War relics in exchange for a nice colonial site to hunt. I don;t have too many other leads in that area.. so not sure how many places I'll be able to hunt.

Monkey boy . saw your post if you have no luck strapping down a colonial hunt here is a possible back up plan to try. Went to narragansett beach just for a day. Found some clad and silver ring in about Two hrs of hunting. There is about 5 acres of parking lot and probably at least two miles of beach you can shoot. there are some old farms on the way in if I remember right. Never hurts to have a back-up plan and there will be no one on the beach this time of year. I know its not what your looking for. good luck Rob. By the way there are like 2 or 3 more beaches right near Narragansett. have fun.

i use to live in R.I. about 15 years ago and there is a spot in bristol called wally beach. it has been in use for ever and a day. its very small but popular with the locals. you might have some luck there. please keep us posted on the finds.

hey MonkeyBoy i might be available (won't know for sure until the 8th or 9th) to ya but you might have to trave to eastern Ct area to hit some colonial cellar sites if your interested .give me a pm to let me know .
