Ring and a Button

This morning I went to local park and found nothing but foil and goose poop!
Then about 6:00pm I went to a local middle school and found a flat button and
a ring pendent combination. The button is blank on the front and I could only make
out a "W" on the back.

The ring is very small and has a loop so it can be worn on a necklace.
I think it must have been a award or something like that.
It has no markings on it, only the name of the school which I went to
for the fourth grade in 1973. It might have been a memento for a teacher
or school staff. Now I live about 500 feet from that school.

My niece who just graduated from Tyrrell informed me the school was selling
the rings for twenty bucks.
