This is my first ring I found with a stone in it. Any idea's as to the stone?

Maybe golden topaz or citrine.

For the life of me, I know what it could be but I've drawn a blank. It's petrified sap and probably has the DNA of all the dinosaurs that ever lived!

I would have to say it is Citrine unless the ring is really light then it may possible be Amber.
It might be Golden Topaz but it is normally lighter but once again colors can vary
Where did you find it that would also help narrow it down.
