ring or auto part?

I found this in the back yard it does not stick to a magnet it is metal on edges it had ^'^'^'^'^'^'^'^'. It is 7/8 of one inch round out side. I do not know if it is a auto part or a kids ring.

I think it would be to large for a kids ring. Most likely a car part.

Looks like a brass lock washer or seal ring to me,
but I guess you never know.

Maybe some kids wore it as a ring.

No round.

I talked to some one who knows rings and he did not think ring because had small ridge in side. But my father in law thinks that I may have been a kid friendship ring?
