Ring or Junk?

Found under a torn up sidewalk in old part of town. It is copper and is a little flexible. I'm thinking junk that looks like a ring, but wanted to get your opinion.

My guess is it is a home made ring.My Dad used to make jewelry from copper wire and it looked similar to that.

I was thinking it might be a homemade ring. It seems like the right size for a man's ring, I think. All the edges seem to be rounded off.
