Ring with a secret.

Hi all. Finally found something worth posting. Silver ring with a compartment. Marked 925 , clasp is tight , looks like a Garnet stone. Except for discoloration nice condition.
My girlfriend said It would hold just the right amount of cyanide !... Help !

Very cool. I remember seeing something about a ring like that which held a small piece of cloth imbibed with smelling salts. It was for vapors (fainting) from wearing tight corsets, which was the fashion of the day. Not sure if this is what this ring was for, but seems interesting.

vintage Poison Ring ?

Not as elaborate as the one pictured. But very similar.

It might have been a pill ring for holding a nitroglycerin pill or something like that for someone with a heart condition or it could have been for a snort of your favorite snuff. Very cool find.
