Here are my river finds from today in an area that I've previously hit. There are limitless targets here! The bottle was a few inches deep next to a sinker and is only from 1981. The last pic of the sinker has to be old as heck because there's a string tied around it and it looks hand carved. Does anyone have any idea what it is?

And here is my best stuff from Alpena. First here's the overall pic of my goodies. The black one is a roosie that I found in the water and couldn't figure out how to get the black color off. 2014-07-13 14.38.06.webp

And here are some closups. I also found my oldest silver and my oldest dog tag! I found 2 of the 4 rings in the water. The top left is white gold with a diamond! That was found in the water by some rocks in Lake Huron! The copper ring was found in another lake. The dog tag says "1909 Dog Tax Alpena 173"

How could I forget my dad's killer day? He found all of these in 1 yard! Before that he had only found 3 silvers ever!

Nice! Awesome bunch of finds! Congrats on the silver, gold and diamonds!

Congrats to dad too on his silver coin finds!

Fantastic bunch of finds! Congrats and keep up the good work!

Great finds, I'm thinking weight for duck decoy.

for it to still have the string on, newer at least on the string part. really nice finds

really good hunt,

The sinker could just be a piece of junk metal used as a sinker. We use to take our spare nuts and bolts box when we fished on the rocks of the C and D Canal, we went through sinkers. We even used old spark plugs as sinkers, lol.

We use to use spark plugs for tog fishing, C and D Canal, that brings back some memory's. I remember seeing Sally Star on a boat/dock going through that canal one time as a kid.
