river finds

found on river bank yesterday, 2" brass nail with brass washer braded on end, maybe used in ship building. also found a small dipper or pitcher.
it is enameled metal, about 2" high and has a 6" long handle on one side. holds about 4oz.

anyone know anthing about these items?

Nail like thing looks like a long rivet. The dipper looking thing might be used to melt tar or lead to seal yokum into seams? Pics are really not that good to help much. Monty

Second pic is of a east mediterranean coffee pot it's used in Greece called "Briki μπρίκι" and in Turkey called a "ibrik".
