My usual stop on Friday after work. Got in and headed out to where I wanted to go but (Lol) never got there. Hit an area and got a good signal. (That's why I didn't make it to where I was going)Bummer, turned out to be a dreaded zinc n. But wait, there was another signal coming thru. Broken and chattering. When I turned up the disc, part of the sound went away at 5 1/2 but the chattering cont. I dug and was still getting the same results. After what seemed like forever and a good 8 to 10 inch hole up come my target. Totally took me by surprise! Not only did the ring come up but the chattering wire with it! My biggest ring for the year, 9.9 grams! Not only that, at the edge of the hole I was picking up a signal that turned out to be a railroad spike!
Went this morning early to another river and scored another w. b. 2.8 grams of 10k. That was a 2 1/2 hr hunt. Also scored a Tag Heuer Formula 1 watch. Those watches are expensive! The date on it was the 26th. Am I thinking wrong or does that mean that watch has been in the water 2 yrs? The pics show the rust spot on the ring and how I think it was down in the hole. I can tell by looking at the ring it's been there a long while. Sorry forgot to take pic of watch.
