I live south of Roanoke in Franklin county, looking for fellow detectorist in my area that might would let a newb to the hobby tag along. I'm also interested in either joing a club or even possibly starting a club for this area.

Heard that there a lot of retired MD'ers at Smith Mountain Lake (South of Bedford County/North of Franklin County); get a SML MD Club going... meet at the library at WEST LAKE; get "help" from SML Visitor's Center at Bridgewater Plaza. LOTS of "OLD" history in that area, and towns/family farms UNDERWATER, at SML! HH! Good Luck!
