My wife found this at a thrift store today for $4.95. It looks like it might be stainless steel but is still so cool. The base has three lobsters for legs. All of the handles and knobs are antler including the knob on the burner. On the bottom of the dish, it is stamped " Rochester Stamping Co. Rochester NY " The burner has a 1904 patent date on it so I assume this was made within a few years of that. It is fresh from the store and hasn't been cleaned. It looks better in person. Sorry for the lousy pictures. Can anybody tell me more information as to year made, rarity, and possible value. Thanks!

My best guess is a deco piece. It could be as late as the 40's. It gives you the feel of an antique piece, but if it was a true Victorian piece, the lobsters would be a 3 dimensional figure. These are stamped. The handle appears to be antler. I don't know about "Rochester". Prices are all over the board, but I think you should be able to get $15 to $3O for it. Look on the dish itself, to see if there's any other markings on it, like E.P.N.S. (Electro plate nickel silver), or stainless steel.

Ya know the pommel on the handle does look like it could possibly be sterling silver. I also believe it's a piece from the 1900s to as high as the early 1940s.

I thought that it looked like sterling too. I'm headed out to an all day water detecting with DeepseekerADS in a few minutes. I will do some cleaning on it when I get back, if I can still move. Getting Old Sucks!

The lobster/antler combo seems weird to me. Maybe the pieces aren't from the same set?
