I found these last summer at a garage sale. The lady said her and her husband travel and are rock and gem hunters. They had a lot of rocks and such, thats when I seen this on the table.i looked at it,and I figured it was going to be some ungodly amount of cash .I asked, and picked it up for one dollar..lol. I know chinese coins are confusing as far as dates and such, but I just have to know. anybody study their coins and know anything?thanks 282554.webp282552.webp282549.webp

Wow! That is a great deal.

It looks like it could be one of these coins but I'm not sure. In know absolutely nothing about Chinese coins. The giant looking "K" on the left side is supposed to mean "Kuang".
KUANG-HSU, 1875-1908 1 Cash

Ch'ing Dynasty - Kuang Hsu cash coins

Looks a lot like the fourth one down.

I have my doubts on authenticity. They are faked so much, but it could be real.

The way they are in the rock,I would be almost 99% sure they are real.If you look close at the pics,it looks like shell fragments.Even if they are not real,i am only out a dollar, and have a great conversation piece.

I have dug hundreds of Chinese coins and those characters strike me as Japanese?Hikeinmtns on here(if you can find him)is a Chinese coin ID ing King!!!!

This is an older post from 2013 but I would like to ID the coin in the photo. If authentic it looks to be a 大观通宝 da guan tongbao. Authentic da guan coins were made during the northern Song Dynasty (1107-1110 AD) under the Emperor Huizong
