I see a lot of rock stacking on walking & biking trails. When I saw this one I thought it took a good eye finding the right rocks to balance and considering it was done in a stream took a little bit more effort. The bottom rock as to be close to 100 pounds if not more.
very Zen, takes calmness and focus I lack both..cool pics 8-)

interesting concept

almost like the directional monuments, in an metaphysical way.

I see that up here a lot. I consider that art. For some reason I DO NOT like those rocks stacked along a trail. I kick them over and scatter them. No idea why I do, but they just aggravate me.

Nice pictures Ed
Requires a lot of patience

Funny you said that. I rode by it the other day & it was already knocked over.

Last time I was in Rocky Mountain National Park hiking around I came to a place where someone stacked a bunch of rocks along a rocky stream. To each their own, is what comes to my mind. I on the other hand would rather enjoy the scenery and prefer the rocks stay where the natural forces put them.
