Hi All,

I have been field collecting for several years and have just recently started creek hunting for artifacts.

This is mostly due to watching videos posted by "steve from Missouri" ;D

Anyway, this caught my eye, and I could use some help to identify what it is.

The longest part measures at around 1 3/8" with the unfinished hole around 11/16". It also has a smaller hole started on the backside.

I'm sure (if anything) that it was used only to practice on, but could use any "positive" input :P

Thanks to everyone for your help!

Really hard to tell without actually holding it, but it could be a Nutting Stone. It could also just be a natural stone.

looks like someone was testing a drill bit

Yeah- such a perfect round hole. Hard to tell. Testing drill bit seems to fet the hole. But again. Hard to tell. Maybe the fact that it seems from the photo to be more ground than pecked...bit tester. However it could have been made naturally by errotion.
