This was what we were hoping for from this site, other than the unexpected first Celtic Silver (Only had 2 bronzes in the past).
We were chased off the field last time by the chemical sprayer & this time we had to cut it short to 5 hours before I got sun stroke/more burnt.:tongue3:
However, it was a great day to push through it;

38 Roman Bronze Coins
Medieval Key
Roman Hobnail
Roman thingies
Silver Denarius of Commodus AD190, Rome Mint, Minerva (Good condition & a type we need):icon_thumright:
Silver Unit of the Corietauvi tribe - South Ferriby Boar Type, circa 45BC. Our first Celtic coin this year & a type I need.:headbang:

Both the silvers fell to me but Cru'dad is nipping at my heals with the GMP; lots of scrappies today.

Nice silvers Cru, shame about the damage on the Celtic, but they are very brittle.:icon_thumright:

Yeah, a big shame although I'm kind of glad its a variant of a Common type, & not a very rare one!

Astounding finds! Love that Celtic silver. I would be extremely excited with the Roman one, Celtic would be a dream.

Congrats to you and dad.

Those silver coins are just awesome. We colonials don't get to find those coins, but we sure do like to see you find them!

Good luck to you both.

A beautiful Denarius and an "unexpected Celtic Silver". :hello2: Here is every Celtic coin unexpected.... Glad you showed that they are out there. Again. :thumbsup: Congrats, killer day for this time of the year!

When I found it I had forgotten we had found 2 Bronze Units, which means we were in the right spot for a chance. Most are unexpected, but there are less than a hand-full of sites where our hopes are higher for a gold.

Congratualtions on the fantastic hunt with many wonderful coins! :occasion14:

The Roman silver is outstanding and the Celtic.silver is phenomenal!!
