Firstly Cru'Dad did a little scouting yesterday on two researched leads on new land - both a bust.(Useful to know) So in his short couple of hours window he went to a nearby site that had produced the odd Roman Coin, & he found 1 more, 1/2 a Rose Farthing & a 1834 Sixpence.
Today our timing was perfect we finished the Metal Working Site in just over 5 hours just as they had started drilling the Wheat. Saw the Farm Manager & the first thing he joked was 'found any other gold' - to his surprised I answered 'Yes, a Gold hammered the other day thanks'.:laughing7:
Thought I would do a picture of all the Bronze metal working pieces we picked up over the 3 days.

30 Scrappies - Finished stronger than expected, 1 OK Gallienus Ant. with a Centaur reverse.
1834 Sixpence
Medieval strip with a Latin inscription
Roman Fibula
Roman Hair Pin

Another nice hunt, Cru! What is that thing next to the little green thingy in the middle left photo? It looks like it has a cool design on it. Thanks for sharing. ~Lisa & John

Squashed or not...it's neato! Congrats. ~L&J
PS - I was just thinking how amazing it would be to view your collection of relics as a whole. Probably overwhelming!

Lots left of the hair pin! :icon_thumright:

Great hunt, and WOW to the case Cru. It makes me so happy to see relics preserved like the examples in the case.

Cheers

Good stuff Cru, and that display case is really great. That Saxon cruciform brooch on the left is really a beauty.
