Team was back together for 4 hours of gridding (8 man hours). We are pretty pleased with the result as we were gridding in the less dense area.

23 Roman Coins
Our 3rd Complete Roman Hair Pin this year!
Our smallest Steelyard Weight ever (Roman)

The top left coin is Quintillus & he only ruled for 3 months, we only have 3 of him & this is a new variant, had similar but it was SII in field;

Quintillus, AE antoninianus. 270 AD.
IMP C M AVR CL QVINTILLVS AVG, radiate, draped, cuirassed bust right.
LAETITIA AVG, Laetitia standing left, holding wreath and anchor on globe. XII in right field.

Another great bunch of finds congrats to you both

Excellent assortment Cru!

Looks like a good day to me. A rare coin, a hard to find complete hairpin and the small weight. You're lucky to have land which was pasture for a long time. I have never seen a hair pin coming up other than broken. :icon_thumright:

Killer hunt! :notworthy: :notworthy:

Lost count of how many broken ones we have, however it must be the year for it, because I think I only have 2 others complete in all our other years combined.

Ok, then there's still hope...
