I dug this whilst metal detecting next to a cabin built in the 1840s at 2 inches deep in the plug near Atlanta GA

Rosette or Bridal Rosette? Age?​

I don't think it is a bridle rosette, but rather a rosette-style brooch that might have looked similar to this one.
