Not up on load diameters/caliber.

Site dates to 1600's
 

5/16ths is roughly .31 cal, and since the tape measure isn't the most accurate way to get a measurement, I'd say it's in the right range for 00 buck shot which is .33 cal.

Could be No. 0 buckshot.

But then, back when I had a .32 caliber muzzleloader I bought No. 0 buckshot to use in it with a cloth patch.
