round bullet and cool tack

Not a big day in the freshwater. I'm guessing the bullet is buckshot, but the squarish tack is pretty cool. Not sure why it bent like that.

The tack probably was hammered into a brick and bent.

Thats not buckshot. Thats a 54 caliber round ball.

Well the ones I've found on my property are pre 1855. Though I believe they are from 1835-1842. I'd need to know more about what happened in the area back then. I assume you know it hasn't been fired? Probably is pre 1875 at the least.
