Round lead object?

Found this today while metal detecting. It is lead and a little bigger than a quarter. found many Civil War bullets in the same area. any ideas on what it might be?

That's a hem weight

yep. used in dresses & Curtains but may have also been used in Military clothes

Yes I agree, I recently found a 19th Century steamers trunk in a attic of a house and it had nickle size hem weights in it, I had never seen any that small before.
