Sorry for late reply to pictures, thanks for posting additional photos. Sorry, wanted picture of bottom to see if any signs of usage as mano, don't see any signs of use or work anywhere. Doesn't appear to be good material in pictures for any tools.

Ok it was a just very interesting , you see why I grabbed it
 

As far as shape it could be a little divot on a muddy bottom filled with sand then turned to stone and the mud/shale weathered away leaving a half round shape, or could have been a void from a fossil filled with sand and turned to stone over time… could have been round with a plane of weakness that caused it to split.
 

A Cone has that shape but it’s just naturally formed.
 

Thanks for the replies and the explanation. It's fascinating. I do really learn all the time on this site
