Made a couple of decent finds along the shoreline this morning. The RP button has seen better days, but believe it or not, it's the best condition RP button I've dug so far! Not sure about the lead seal, but it's pretty old. Also got another piece of pewter. It's the size of a pewter coat button, but has carving and a hole in the center. Any ideas? Thanks for looking!

Not sure why it flipped my photos. Sorry guys

if you saw action in the Revolutionary War and then spent over 200 years on the shore...you'd look that good too!
it connects you with a time and place, not even all our pretty finds can do that
great recoveries

That's a really cool find...always happy to get any Rev War!

My goal for this fall was to dig a rev war button, and now I have 3 lol. All are roached, but I'm cool with that. Hopefully there's more to come!

Thanks for sharing!

I think its the end of a pewter spoon handle thats been messed with, the reason/purpose probably lost.

Great Rev find buddy. Still looking for my first Rev button. Those bad boys are tough to find in my parts
