Rubber "O" rings behind Tejon dials

I've read that the Tejon dials get knocked around easily after some use. So I removed each dial, slipped on a snug little rubber o ring on the dial shaft, then reinstalled and snugged up with an A key. It works like a charm, quite a noticeable difference in drag and they should be quite stable. I did not however do the Ground Balance dial. This one sticks out off the plate face a little more and has that o ring sitting in a retainer groove already. Has anyone added a little ring or two under this original factory ring, or does the dial need the space because it moves in or out imperceptibly with turning?........... There is no way that I'm opening the face/electronics plate, but I'm sure that the o rings are a harmless addition. Still waiting for spring here so I have time to fiddle fart around a bit.

I need to add them to my Vaquero..
Can you tell me what size to get?

Hello NWMP, Skypilot here. I may be able to help out some on your question. The ground balance on (I believe on ALL new Tesoros) is a three, three quarters turn, with an unlimited movement after initial drag. This is done by gear reduction, and the switch shaft is actually hollow, with the one the knob is mounted on going through the center of the outside shaft. The "o" ring is there to keep dirt and dust from getting inside the switch where the two shafts (inner and outer) meet. That said, I am certain you will like the change in knob tension! However, the switch that gives me the most trouble is the ground balance, and so if you just be sure to place the "o" ring closer to the face plate (the lowest position on the rotary part of the switch as possible) than the one that is there now to seal the switch, I am sure you will be pleased. I can tell you that it worked great for me. Hope this helps! If you would like a pic of one of mine disassembled, just let me know. Regards, Skypilot
