Had to shoot a new video of the Monster Hog running for some ops overseas.
Dealing with high viscosity materials and feed rates.
One side benefit........ lot's of gems.
Ran maybe 15 - 20 yards in about 4 hours and picked up about 300 gems.
Here's some of the rubies / sapphires / corundum.......
Haven't had time to work the cons.
It's pretty crappy "gold dirt" by nature, but it produces the right viscosity for the testing we needed.
It's not really a "pay layer".
My guess is $5 - 9 a yard.
But man... was it gemmie....... that day.
Between all the gems, some 300 or so, there were a bunch of facet quality stones.
However, it's tough to find quality rubies and sapphires in GA.
In this batch there were probably 5 rubies and sapphires that were facet quality and cuttable.
However, I like to cut the lesser quality stones too as they produce some amazing effects.
A GOOD ruby native to this area can bring $500 cut but they are hard to come by.
Hence the price.
Most of these just go into our concentrates.
We don't sell the raw stones separately.
