I re-read "Gold Beneath the Waves" last week and was amazed how much stuff I think I either didn't understand or recognize what the author was talking about the first time I read it. The author's concept of "run and gun" has stuck with me. If a spot sucks, move on and move on fast.
I certainly didn't kill it today but applying the run and gun theory today lead me to a small spot right before sunset which rewarded me with a 1961 quarter, an unknown dime, and unknown Roosevelt dime and a Buffalo nickel.

Earlier in the day I found a cool, in tact bottle from what looks like around 1920.
I was not sure if I should head out today or not. Glad I did.

Edited: Also want to add a shout out to Minelab customer service. My excal had a short and was fixed under warranty in 8 days.
