I tried out the dime wheel for the Ryedale and had to really mess with the sensitivity dial. Won't go into the details but lets just say it is better to just edge search dimes and leave the Ryedale to cents.

Now that I put the cent wheel and coin back in Comparitor I am having really poor results with copper being rejected and zincs being accepted. I have adjusted the dial at least 15 tikes and am not having much luck. I realize it is never going to be 100% but the numbers I am seeing are way off what they were before I switched over to dime wheel .

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No clue, sorry.
But should I get a ryedale? Could I sell sorted copper pennies easily for profit online to recuperate my investment on the Ryedale?
Thank you!

You can get your money out of it. Easily? No.

The copper is an easy sell but the work that goes into it with unwrapping 100's of rolls and dumping all those zincs is a lot of work and not easy by any stretch of the imagination.

I've sorted a lot by hand. Haven't gotten around to sell. Not sure where I can sell copper. or buy me a ryedale.
Thank you for the info though.
Wicka :)

If you calculate the amount of time you waste by sorting it by hand, then wicka, for sure its worth money. Also, there has been renewed talk of disbanding the one cent piece, meaning you could make money 'easily' if it was disbanded. also wicka, its a blast, I find more fun in dumping boxes of cents through a ryledale, than going through anything else, even if I dont make any money.

i think dimes aren't worth it period. I did extensive comparisons and even good dimes vs. bad halves = halves still better by a 4 to 1 ratio, save the wear and tear on your ryedale for cents. cull copper while you sort halves.

I have the dial at about 12 o'clock for pennies and about 2 o'clock for dimes. For dimes I use a clad with minimal wear as the comparison coin. I run 10 or so silver and clad of varrying degrees of wear through a few times to make sure It's set right. Seems to work well and it's certainly faster than edge checking, particularly when you consider that I can do something else while it's running.
