A belated Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all my Fellow TH's of Irish Heritage as well as those not and anyone else who wishes they were.
I went to a Friends house who was hosting a gathering featuring the traditional Fare of Ham, Cabbage and Potato's. Our Host lives in a circa 1902 school house which I've detected Many times and found many a coin and artifact. We had recently moved some farm equipment around and tore up the old turf planning to reseed a large area. Just begging to run a good metal detector over it.
I found a handful of mostly modern coins a few wheats circa 1940's. Two silver plated clad Religious medals, one silver heart charm, an old silver plated spoon, a large brass button back and what looks like a brass backed furniture button. However the find of the day was a complete toy cap gun, probably 1950's era. It was a bit broken up but I managed to reconstruct it. Lots of broken dishware and glass pieces probably old soda bottles especially coca cola. All in All a Fun day and a great Dig.
