I posted this medal (unknown to me) a couple of months back, all I could make out was "San Fransisco" and "1910". I am posting again because today I finally found out what it was...I just needed a few key words to help my search. I guessed that it was a "souvenir" based on others that I had seen. I never did find the souvenir bar that it hung from but i'm glad to finally know what it is. Admission day was a Californian (holiday) celebrating the 60th anniversary of California's admission as a state in 1850. I found the medal in a 100 year old railroad logging camp here in Washington State.

very cool. look around some more and you might find the top piece

This medal was far from any of the other finds in the camp, I think it might have fell off the hanger in that spot. You can bet that I'll be looking for the hanger, now that I know it exsists. Don't give up on researching those items that bug you the most, when you get those search words right it's like finding the treasure all over again. Thanks for the comments.
