I know the TREX might be on the top of the block but anybody got another one they have used with a lil lower price tag and good welds? Kinda tight on $$ till I find some beach gold haaaa.

The old adage that, " You get what you pay for." holds true in spades where sand scoops are concerned..and it's the next most important piece of equipment besides your detector that you have on the beach. At least that's been my experience and all I hunt are beaches.

I made one out of a old shovel. I made side blades and a black blade for it drilled holes 1/2 inch all over and bent the handle. Then welded the blades all on . Works GREAT !11
