Sat & Sun Hunts

Re: Sat & Sun Hunts, "GOLD!!"

Nice chunk of gold there.

Like you said, and one that everybody should be saying, that you had fun.

How is the Nuttel working out? That has to be cool when you're fanning the sand and you see that circle of gold.

Congrats again.

Re: Sat & Sun Hunts, "GOLD!!"

Congrats on the Nice ring Mike. I have one of those earlier model scoops, my handle is all stainless, talk about heavy... I let the girlfriend use that one :laughing7: and I use my sunspot scoop that I've had for 15 years nnow. Aloha and congrats again Mike.

Re: Sat & Sun Hunts, "GOLD!!"

I love the fiber glass handle on this Monster, strong, light, and 48".. cool!

Re: Sat & Sun Hunts, "GOLD!!"

Very nice ring, congrats on the find.

I agree about the scoop - I have had mine a week or so, and the first trip was killer. But I look forward to being built like popeye :). I am starting to get used to carrying it around at least. And it does do a great job, and the fiberglass handle is a great feature.

Re: Sat & Sun Hunts, "GOLD!!"

Congrats on the gold Mike. The pic of the finds looks like my normal haul, minus the gold, of course. :icon_jokercolor: WTG

Re: Sat & Sun Hunts, "GOLD!!"

Nice haul Mike! wtg! How deep were you snorkling? Guessing 6' is the max? Love the ring and the change doesn't hurt either! LOL. As my clad jar grows, my Diamond Head scoop gets closer!...   HH

Re: Sat & Sun Hunts, "GOLD!!"

When I picked up my scoop from Travis last year I felt like a Gladiator.  It looked cool, it was big, and looked like some special weapon of war  :D

It really helps a lot getting into tight compact dirt.  Others have a hard time taking a bite if they are able to get in.  I just drag mine along and don't even notice the weight.

Mike keep posting those nice finds.

My clad jar has over $50 so far this summer for the times that I have been out. It grows slowly but steadily. My last years find in clad for the entire year was around $25. It's funny how with just a little bit of experience things start coming in.

Re: Sat & Sun Hunts, "GOLD!!"

Great job, I knew you would love that scoop and Travis is a great guy with awesome customer service. I see you put it to the test with a lot of digging.

This is the sweat equity that many folks don't think about when they decide that treasure hunting is the hobby for them. You clearly earned that one.
