Checking out another part of the park today with my buddy Ed upstate and my buddy clad pirate working the tree lines got a nice signal sweeping to the left but to the right it was broken I dug a plug trying to get through the roots was the hard part using my probe I can here it so I used my fingers to dig it out bam in the dirt pile a 1911 barber dime very nice condition full liberty in the hole with the dime was a rusted nail that's what blocked it also three wheats and a Nice flat button and a small religious medal ..

Nice detail on your nice Barber, good job digging that signal.
I like those other finds too.

I've taken to using a shortened drywall saw to cut roots. Works great. Makes short work of them. Easy to tote and if I lose it they are cheap to replace.

Your dime is very nice. We'll worth the effort.

That is a great looking barber, congrats.

OMG! They just drop that one leaving the Mint! The detail is awesome! Nice finds!
It's well worth checking those good/scratchy signals.

I had a signal that bounced all around the coin range, I'm thinking, more can slaw, nope! A quarter, 2 dimes, 1 nickel, 2 pennies, all in the same hole, the detector was right.
Another time it told me "half dollar", it was 2 quarters, I didn't know it could add!!! Lol!

That is an incredible looking dime. Very nice finds
