Hello all,
We had some nice weather on Saturday so we headed to our Civil War camp site, only to find that the cows where penned up in the fields we planned to hunt. So now we are locked out of two of the best fields because of crops, and now two others because of cows. Rather then turn around and go home (which we almost did) we decided to try another pasture that had no cows in it (yet). We hit this field in the past without real good results. But we slowed down and started to find some stuff. At the end of the day we had a bunch of wire, nails and farm junk but we also had 8 bullets (2 fired, one carved and one melted), a good eagle button, a button back, a rivet, a bunch of camp lead (in a 10 foot radius), some of the lead has wood grain where it hit the logs in the fire?, a cartridge and cartridge base, a bullet puller and a very cool fork. Not a bad haul considering. There are also a few “what is its” (last 4 pictures) if anyone can shed some light on them. As always thanks for looking

I'm liking the Eagle button.

That's a very good day!! Carved lead is worth a little wire and nails. In promising ground like that you have to dig everything so you don't miss the good. Nice job, thanks for sharing[emoji106]
