Me and old dad hauled off aluminum cans to a small local scrapyard today. Seen an old car in the yard and asked if they sell scrap. They did and handed me a hardhat. 55 Plymouth Savoy. I took the hood ornament, front and rear badge and the air filter. Paid $5. Turns out 1955 was the first year for V8's for Plymouth. The rest is history. I think I did well. Thinking bought going back and buying whole car. Its all there. Rough inside but all there. HH All!

Do it! Make it into a fun street rod project! My dad and I have always wanted to get a 40s 50s car and turn it into a hot rod.

can you work on cars?....i that model begs to be chopped....

I said it was all there but, the glass was all gone and the seats were toast. It's gonna take a bigger bag of nickels than I got to restore. I was more in mind of parting it out. Engine, tranny, rear end, dash, steering wheel, door handles etc; etc; then recycling the rest.

did you go back and save the rest of the car?

I did go back the following Monday and it had been crushed, loaded and gone...
