Congrats on getting a silver what's it!

Looks like it was tacked onto something, like a large fancy furniture tack, or something?
If you don't get an answer post it in the "what is it" forum and see what they say.

I'm going to say the top of a cane or walking stick... :icon_scratch: Cool piece of silver !!

Keep @ it and HH!! :hello2:

I was also thinking cane or walking stick top - hey it's silver so, nice find !

It looks like a concho for a parade or Western Pleasure show saddle. Nice find!

I think I'd vote cane topper

I hunted a house last night built in 1946. All along the front of the house I kept getting BEATIFUL quarter hits. I checked each to be sure it was not a bottle cap and they were not. When pinpointing they were small, coin sized targets so of course I had to dig them. However, mine were not sterling silver cane toppers. Mine (all 16 of them) were roofing nails with those round flat pieces on the end. Not a single quarter clad or otherwise.

I love your sterling cane topper.
