I feel like a kid...all excited over my first indian artifact find here in Sumter, South Carolina. I was out for a hike when I came across this artifact laying right out in the open. I appears to have been revealed by a lot of water run-off from all the rain we recently had here. I found it in the woods next to a stump. Any idea what it is? Based on where I live (Stateburg, SC) I assume it was an artifact of the Wateree Indians (?). Is this called a point, a dart, an arrow head, a spear tip...
? I give up. It sure was fun to finally come across one after all these years in forests and fields. THanks in advance for any help...
