Went to a small park in a rough area of Flint MI today.I had noticed a couple of old growth trees on it and thought I might have a shot at finding some old coin.I figure most detectorists wouldnt even slow down much less stop at this sight.(Real rough "Hood").I looked for maybe an hour, digging only the deep signals.Escaped with seven wheaties, one war nickle, an old tool check tag, a steel over brass football charm, and a couple pieces of clad. The ground was soft, humus soil and the targets were all in the 8-10" area...barely audible. The wheats dates are 18s, 19, 35, 35, 45, 45, and 48s.The nickle is a 43P.The tool tag could be anywhere from 1919 up.I didnt find any silver today but Im sure its there.Next time I feel a little gutsy Ill go back for it. H.H.....Joe
