On Saturday, Lucy and I took her parents out to the Kiski Junction Railroad, in Schenley, PA. http://www.kiskijunction.com/history.htm
Schenley was home to the Schenley Whiskey Distillery until the mid-1980s. A few of the buildings are still standing, but most have been bulldozed and left as rubble. Along the tracks, one of the buildings had been razed and used as fill. There are HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of bottles buried in the hillside! We brought a few home, including the only intact flask and large bottle we could find. Not really old, but neat!
