Hunted an area high school yesterday and stumbled into a coin spill containing 46 coins dated mostly from late 90s. Consisted mostly of dimes, nickels and pennies, with two quarters. Were found near the school's auditorium, and I really have no good explanation why this many coins would have been dropped/placed in this one spot. The first picture contains the spill coins, with a few extras added (sorry for all the dirt, just haven't cleaned them, yet). The second picture shows the balance of the coins found at the school. In total, I dug 75 coins. One wheat penny dated 1947 was found, all the rest common clads and pennies. Nothing of any real value, but a fun day nonetheless!

Looks like a coin rich spot. Congrats on the cladfest.

That's a lot of targets to dig. :hello2: Looks like you had a very good hunt. :headbang: By saying 1 spot, this came out of 1 plug or were they in a 10ft x 10ft area, 5ft by 5ft area?

I pulled them from an area ~12"x18", so pretty small. I had to keep enlarging and re-digging the original plug. Took over an hour to retrieve them all!

Thanks KSC!8-)

Thanks, C&R Man!8-)
